Only tangentially related to this video, but I use a refillable spray bottle for acetone. I’ve been told that this is a bad idea. What are your thoughts on this?

Jady, Love your channel and after my recent ebay purchase thought of you and your expertise. Just picked up some ER2209 Duplex mig wire. Wondering if i can use it as a filler for TIG welding 300 or 400 series stainless or if it is for duplex only? It was $100 for 33lb spool, so i actually bought it to cut it up and use for blasting, but figured might want to keep few pounds as wire to use as filler for TIG. Any advice?

Nice instructions and finishes. Could a beginner use this technique TIG to braze a brass bung nut and brass male threaded pipe in bottom of steel 44 gallon drum? Never used TIG or MIG yet.

Love my furicks. 5 for alum, 8 for milds and fupa12 for stainless. The ssbbw is stupid big and fun for when gas doesnt matter. I enjoy the fact the 'dog' lives pretty close to me as well...

Hey, Jody. Fantastic live event you did on WelderSkills app yesterday with Brad. Really cool how the Australian listener was able to interact so much. He sounded just like a welder I’ve seen on YT and wonder if it’s the same guy. The two most memorable parts was the detail (or caveat) about using rolocs and the way to cool while cutting aluminum. I fully intend to ask questions once I get a little more welding practice under my belt. I’ve just finished getting my garage set up with practically everything I could need (including PrimeWeld Tig) and I’ve been watching tons of videos whenever I’m free and can’t be in my garage. By the way, I’m also a huge fan of TimWelds. He has some great courses for when you’re just getting started. My other favorite is “The Old Tony”, mostly because the guy is a gifted comedian.

why dont you go over it fast with 1 thin layer several times ? When i cut a nail in half it has the hard outer surface then the inside is more porus and sh**y , wouldn't it make sense to try get loads of layers of the hard outta surface throughout the weld ?

I’m watching this again 3 years later. Says a lot for who you try and learn a trade from. Earlier today I tried and find your video, showing how to clean your files, so to not contaminate the weld. I’m sure 👍🏻 saved that video. RUclips doesn’t really look after their paying customers. My saved videos has, been seriously deleted over the years. Pisses me off badly. Love your work!
